Podcasts from the future
Sound is a powerfully evocative artistic medium, capable of conjuring up images and feelings beyond the logical and intellectual. For Climaginaries, this is a method of imagination we continue to return to, in an effort to explore the ways in which music, sound and the human voice can help us to imagine differently. On this page you can find links to listen to our three Swedish language podcast series Det Goda Livet, Enkidos Mat and Lätt Att Göra Rätt. All three are developed in cooperation with Umami Produktion, who wrote, directed and produced the podcast based on Climaginaries input and research. Enkidos Mat was also produced in cooperation with Biotech Heights and Lätt att Göra Rätt was produced in cooperation with Coaction Lund.
det goda livet
Det Goda Livet is a drama series from Skåne that takes place in the future. The format is a fictional podcast, which is produced and broadcast in 2050. The three hosts visit different places in Skåne and meet people who have very different ideas about what a good life is. Along the way, we get to know a country that is radically different from today. We move from a former golf course in Perstorp, where 700 climate refugees from the Tuvalu archipelago have formed an independent state, to the tax-free Meat Boat in Helsingborg, where people flock to eat forgotten dishes such as pulled pork or a thick sausage with bread.
enkidos mat
A cooking show from the future. In 2045, it is not the tractor, but the bioreactor, which is the central machine in Sweden’s food production. The technology is based on fermentation. Microorganisms are fed with water and nutrient solution, and in this way both milk and various proteins are produced, without the involvement of any animals. In the fictional cooking show Enkido's Food, you get to experience what the reactor revolution has meant for the food system of the future. We follow celebrity chef Enkido Jassim to the Jordeberg farm, where he prepares a Christmas feast with the head chef and fermentation expert Emelie Månsdotter.
Lätt att göra rätt
In this podcast, the listener visits the Swedish city Lund's New City Museum, which will open in 2060. Cultural journalist Johanna Rodner (whom we recognize from the podcast series The Good Life), meets curator Dua Dervish who shows the unique exhibition Easy to Do the Right Thing. It depicts the climate work in the municipality from 1992 to 2060.
